Hi there! Are you feeling depressed, anxious, or stuck? Life can be a journey with unexpected circumstances that can often leave you feeling overwhelmed and confused. Whatever you have experienced, or are experiencing right now, know that you have the right to find peace and tranquility. YOU are valuable and worthy of living a peaceful life with meaning. It would be an honor to sit with you and guide you through this time of healing.
I graduated from Alliant International University in Irvine where I earned my Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Then, I attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I earned my Doctor of Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my studies, I was able to gain an in-depth awareness and understanding about family dynamics, family roles, relationships, trauma, and how these different factors impact our being at an individual level. My research also focused on exploring the impact that adults experience after they had discovered a parents’ extramarital affair. I recognize that this experience can be devastating and very confusing. I invite you to reach out to me if this is an area that you would like to explore, or if this is one that has come up for you recently.
My therapeutic approach naturally takes on a combination of the following orientations: Psychodynamic, Attachment-Based, Existential/Experiential, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and being in-tune with the Mind, Body, and Spirit. Overall, my clinical approach is mostly centered on your distinct needs as person. I believe that individuals need a warm, safe, and sacred space to begin the healing process. Your experience is important to me and my hope is to maintain a sacred healing space to help you explore challenges and find some understanding. My role is to be your anchor as we walk through difficult experiences that may be the source of your depression, or anxiety. My goal is to be your guide and provide you with an open, safe, non-judgmental space to find clarity. I strongly believe that every person has natural strengths that make them resilient and my hope is to find these within you.
I have experience working in community clinics, outpatient programs, intensive inpatient treatment programs, and private practice. I am also proficient in Spanish and would be more than happy to help if you need a Spanish-speaker, or if you know someone who needs a Spanish-speaking therapist.
